Ringwell business phone
What the Ringwell app uses, who receives it, how long it is kept, and your choices. Last updated: 6 November 2026.
Ringwell is a business phone app operated by IA SYSTEMS, Rue de Russie, Tangier, Morocco ("we"). It connects your phone to your organization's phone system so you can make and receive work calls. Your organization (your employer or the company that gave you a setup code) decides who gets an account and manages the phone system.
What Ringwell uses, and why
- Your phone account. When you scan or type a setup code, the app receives your organization, extension number and SIP password, and stores them encrypted on your phone. They are used only to connect to your organization's phone system.
- Calls. To place and receive calls, the numbers you dial, the calls' signaling and the call audio go to your organization's phone system. Your phone's IP addresses are also sent, to connect the call. Audio is encrypted in transit. Ringwell does not record calls. The phone system keeps call records (numbers, times and durations), as any phone system does. Your organization's phone system may have its own features, such as voicemail or call recording, which your organization controls.
- Push notifications. So your phone can ring when the app is closed, the app sends a push token (an identifier from Apple or Google) to our push service, with your extension. Apple (APNs) or Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) deliver the notifications. An incoming-call notification carries the caller's number and name, so it passes through Apple's or Google's servers.
- Call-quality reports. After each call, the app sends a short technical report: call identifiers, direction and result, start time and duration, network type, packet loss, jitter, delay, an estimated quality score, the codec, and the app version, operating system version and device model. It contains no audio and no phone numbers. We use it to find and fix call-quality problems.
- Microphone. Used only during calls.
- Contacts. If you allow it, the app reads your contacts so you can call them and see names. Contacts stay on your phone and are never uploaded.
- Camera. Used only to scan your setup QR code. No images are kept or sent.
We don't show ads, we don't sell data, and we don't use third-party analytics or tracking.
Who receives it
- Your organization's phone system, operated by your organization or by us on its behalf.
- Apple and Google, to deliver push notifications, under their own privacy terms.
- OVH, in France, where our servers run.
How long we keep it
- Push tokens: until you sign out, the token stops working, or your organization removes your account.
- Call-quality reports: up to 90 days.
- Call records on the phone system: as set by your organization.
Your choices and rights
- Sign out in the app's settings to remove your account and push token from this phone. Uninstalling also removes everything stored by the app.
- You can turn off microphone, contacts and camera access in your phone's settings; calls need the microphone.
- To access or delete data about you, contact your organization's administrator or us at k.khamlichi@ias.ma. You can also contact the CNDP (Morocco) or your local data-protection authority.
Security
Connections are encrypted (TLS for signaling and our services, DTLS-SRTP for call audio). Each phone gets its own key, which can be revoked.
Children
Ringwell is a business app and is not meant for children.
Changes
We'll update this page when the app's use of data changes, and change the date at the top.
